Coccinella Beauty Therapy respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it — in plain language, and in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

The Details
What We Collect
We only collect information we actually need in order to serve you. Depending on how you use this site, that may include:
- ✦Contact details — your name, email address and phone number, when you enquire through our contact form or place an order.
- ✦Delivery details — your street address, suburb, town or city and postcode, when you choose to have an order couriered to you.
- ✦Order details — the products you bought, the amounts paid, and any notes you add to your order.
- ✦Treatment information — where relevant to a service, we may record skin or health information you give us during a consultation, so that we can treat you safely.
- ✦Website usage — anonymous statistics about how visitors use this site, such as pages viewed and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics.
You do not need to create an account to shop with us, and we do not ask for any information beyond what is needed to fulfil your order.
How We Use It
- ✦To process, pack and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
- ✦To send you an order confirmation and receipt.
- ✦To answer your enquiries and arrange appointments.
- ✦To keep accurate business and tax records, as New Zealand law requires.
- ✦To improve this website and understand which pages our visitors find useful.
We will never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with the service providers listed below, or where the law requires us to.
Payments & Card Details
When you pay for an order, you are taken to a secure payment page hosted by Stripe, a global payment provider. Your card number, expiry date and security code are entered on Stripe's systems.
Coccinella never sees, receives or stores your card details. We only receive confirmation from Stripe that a payment succeeded, along with a reference number so we can match the payment to your order.
Who Else Handles Your Information
Running an online shop means relying on a few specialist providers. Some of them store or process information outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we only use providers that are required to protect your information to standards comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.

United States and Ireland
Takes your payment. Card details are entered on Stripe's own secure pages and are never seen by, or stored on, this website.
Neon
Australia
Hosts the database that stores your order and delivery details.
SMTP2GO
New Zealand, with processing in the United States and Europe
Sends your order confirmation email and notifies the salon of new orders.
Vercel
United States, with content delivered from servers worldwide
Hosts this website and delivers its pages to your browser.
Google Analytics
United States
Provides anonymous statistics about how this website is used.
Timely
New Zealand
Manages online appointment bookings, if you book through the Book Now link.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file your browser stores when you visit a website. This site uses them in two ways:
- ✦Analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics, which help us understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. These do not identify you personally.
- ✦A single sign-in cookie, used only by salon staff logging in to manage orders. It is never set for ordinary visitors.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The shop and the rest of the site will still work normally if you do.
Storing & Keeping Your Information
Your information is held in secure, access-controlled systems. Only authorised Coccinella staff can view order and client records, and access is protected by a password-secured login.
We keep order records for at least seven years, because New Zealand tax law requires us to retain business records for that period. Enquiries and other information we no longer need are deleted once they have served their purpose.
Your Rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can at any time:
- ✦Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- ✦Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- ✦Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- ✦Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time, if you have opted in.
Just get in touch and we will help. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we do not give your information to someone else. There is no charge for making a request, and we will respond within 20 working days.
